Applying electric fields to metals

#1 Post by aarondesk » Mon Jun 07, 2010 2:53 pm

Currently there is the EFIELD keyword for applying electric fields to insulators, but I am interested in metals.

I thought that point charges would be implemented in VASP at some point, but I can't see any information on this. Is this coming soon?

Any suggestions on applying an electric field to a metal?
