Why magnetic moment in OUTCAR and CHGCAR are different ?

#1 Post by xfh00 » Sun Aug 09, 2009 8:03 am

Dear all,
Whan I performed magnetic calculation, I found that the magnetic moment in OUTCAR and CHGCAR are different.
IN OUTCAR the magmom mainly come from 6 atoms. But when I used the vaspvies to show the second part of CHGCAR ( the second part of CHGCAR is the magnetization density (spin up minus spin down)), the magmom come from different atoms. Would somebody give me some advice? Many thanks.
