command "make test" returns failed tests

#1 Post by matthew_arviso » Thu Jun 06, 2024 1:42 pm

Hi everyone,

I am attempting to run the command "make test" during the installation process of the VASP source code but get summary for failed tests that direct me to check the output files manually listed in the messages, Image

There were no indications that I could see for the builds failing themselves. Additionally, I am will list some specs and programs I am using/downloaded for the VASP source code,
- Laptop with 10 cores operating on Windows
- Installation for Windows Subsystem for Linux in order to install Debian

I have looked at the installation guide for personal devices (Debian works best) and modified the "makefile.include" file to have corresponding customizations along with re-installing Debian and attempting a new VASP source code installation file. Please excuse my inability to fully capture my issue as I am not computer savvy with all of my knowledge coming the installation guides.

Dear matthew_arviso,

Could you please send across the file

Code: Select all

testsuite/testsuite.log
That would help us see the log of the failing tests.

Dear matthew_arviso,

I don't seem to be able to see the attached file - could you maybe try to attach the file once again? (there is an attachments tab that you have to click at the bottom to upload the file).
