Or is this no longer a current feature?

There seem to be a couple of references to reading a TMPCAR in the VASP manual (http://cms.mpi.univie.ac.at/vasp/vasp/IWAVPR_tag.html), but I haven't seen any for writing it.

Anyone have any experience with TMPCAR?

TMPCAR was used in the past to save computer time when MD was divided into very short blocks.
Not a current feature anymore.
