Stress's definition?
In the VASP manual and outcar file,We can find stress tensor,but I don't know how definition is stress in the crystal .Thank you!

Stress's definition?
1) please have a look to any standard solid state physics textbook (eg Kittel) for the definition of the stress tensor (and the reduction of its independent components due to the crystal symmetry) in solids
2) the implementation of the algorithm to calculate the stress into VASP is accurately described in the PhD Thesis of Georg Kresse.
