Does VASP5 take into account the intraband transition for optics?

Queries about input and output files, running specific calculations, etc.

Does VASP5 take into account the intraband transition for optics?

#1 Post by KurtG » Tue Dec 13, 2011 7:27 pm

Hi, dear all. I'm using VASP 5.2.12 to calculate optical properties for a metal.

I doubt if the results are meaningful or not, since for VASP 4.6 and with Juergen Furthmueller's code, the intraband transition is not taken into account. I don't know what the situation is for VASP 5
