How vasp is projecting DOS?

#1 Post by Kinga » Tue Sep 11, 2012 5:42 pm

I would like to ask if during projecting DOS the symmetry of lattice is broken/decreased or if is it maintained? If the atomic positions are equivalent from the crystallographic point of view, shouldn't I found the same s,p,d-DOS for them? And what could it mean if I found different?

Thank you in advance for your reply.
Kinga.
