What is the unit of frequency dependent DIELECTRIC FUNCTION

#1 Post by tronphy » Wed Oct 13, 2021 5:18 pm

Dear VASP delelopers and users,

As I am trying to convert the dielectric functions output by VASP into optical conductivity, I was wondering what is the exact units of frequency dependent DIELECTRIC FUNCTION?

I will use the output data from " frequency dependent IMAGINARY DIELECTRIC FUNCTION (independent particle, no local field effects) density-density".

In fact, I cannot find more information on the units.

thanks in advance,
Xiangru Kong
