How to get Spin-orbit coupling constant lmabda from VASP??

#1 Post by rksb_physics » Mon Nov 04, 2013 8:50 am

Dear vasp users ,

I am using vasp 5.3 to do spin orbit coupling calculation. I need to have the value of spin-orbit coupling constant λ, also called coupling strength , from vasp.

Could any one please tell me if vasp gives this value directly or if I have to calculate it somehow from outcar.

Thanks in advance,
